Equilib module - Error# 76 -> Path not found re: c:\Dummy\Dummy.bat (posted January 27, 2016)
This erroneous messsage may appear when creating or importing a ChemSage file. Simply ignore the message - it has no effect upon the program.
FactPS database - OPCl3 data in error (posted January 27, 2016)
FactPS compound data for the OPCl3 liquid phase are in error. Do not include the OPCl3 liquid phase in your calculations.
Equilib module - error message 'Run-time error '6': Overflow' when saving Excel files (posted January 12, 2016)
This only applies to cases where CD-FactSage70.exe was downloaded on or before January 19, 2016.
This messaage appears in the Results Window for systems with many species when saving the results in *.xls and *.xlsx files
To fix this bug download the following zip file http://www.crct.polymtl.ca/dl/Patch70_12Jan2016.zip and copy the file Equisage.exe to the FactSage main folder.
Reaction module - error message 'Equi_ZHandleCmpd(n) = 0' (posted December 27, 2015)
This erroneous messaage appears when specifying an electron, e[-], as a reactant. Simply ignore the message - it has no effect upon the calculation.
SpMCBN database - phase selection (posted December 23, 2015)
Use the J-option when selecting the FCC_A1 phase in calculations. (It is currently set as I-option)
Equlib module - possible error with and streams (posted December 11, 2015)
This only applies to cases where CD-FactSage70.exe was downloaded on or before January 19, 2016.
When specifying or input amounts of a [stream] the calculation may produce results that are in error.
To fix this bug download the following zip file http://www.crct.polymtl.ca/dl/Patch70_12Jan2016.zip and copy the file Equisage.exe to the FactSage main folder.
Phase Diagram module - isobars limited to ideal gases at 1 atm (or 1 bar) total pressure (posted November 23, 2015)

- More than 50 slides have been added to the Ferrous Metallurgy presentation to bring the total to over 225 slides.
- More than 50 slides have been added to the Alloy Design Advanced presentation to bring the total to over 115 slides.
- The Slide Show and the sample calculations have been updated.
- Double Target calculations: one can now target two properties simultaneously.
- Continue run after a target calculation: it is now possible to click on "continue run" to calculate another composition corresponding to the desired target.
- Additional properties for optimization or constraints : physical properties (density, thermal expansion, viscosity, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity…) are now available.
- For cooling calculations, the annealing temperature can now be chosen an optimizable variable.
- Logarithmic values: one can optimize the logarithm of a property e.g log(activity) or log(P). In certain cases this may present a numerical advantage, increasing speed and precision.
- When using two input files, the "linked" button previously allowed using the temperature from the first file as a variable for the second file. In FactOptimal 6.4, amount of reactants and pressure can also be used.
- A function saved with Function Builder can now be used as a property constraint.
- When characteristic points on a liquidus surface are calculated, the results are now shown in a table as well as on a graph, displaying detailed compositions, temperature and the solid phases in equilibrium with the liquid.
- There is now an option to calculate the minimum or maximum on a liquidus surface closest to the initial composition.
- When calculating characteristic points on a liquidus surface, there is a new option either to calculate the lowest minimum first or to calculate all minima with no priority.
- There is an added parameter to limit the maximum time for the optimization.
- Results displayed in a table (target type calculations or characteristic points on a liquidus. surface) can now be saved as an Excel file.
- When using two input files, property constraints can now be applied on either file.
